(412) 953-2830Medicare Advantage vs. Medigap
Medicare Advantage rolls Parts A, B, and usually D into one private plan, often with extras like dental, vision, and a fitness benefit. Medigap pairs with Original Medicare to cover most of the deductibles and coinsurance you would otherwise pay. Which one fits depends on your health, your doctors, your prescriptions, and how much predictability you want.
- Advantage: lower premiums, network restrictions, varies by zip code
- Medigap: predictable costs, see any Medicare provider nationwide
- Most people fit clearly into one or the other. We will tell you which.
Part D, demystified
Part D is the prescription side of Medicare. Every plan has a different formulary, which is a fancy word for the list of drugs it covers. The cheapest premium often costs you the most at the pharmacy. We run your actual medication list through every plan to find the one that costs you the least over a full year.
AEP is the main event
From October 15 to December 7, almost anyone on Medicare can change plans. This is the window where carriers compete for your business with new benefits, new pricing, and new formularies. A 30-minute review during AEP can mean hundreds of dollars in savings every year going forward.
Carriers we work with
The Medicare carriers we shop.
We compare benefits, networks, drug formularies, and out-of-pocket costs across each of these carriers before recommending a plan.

Things people ask before their first call.
No. Medicare brokers are paid by the carrier when you enroll. You pay the same monthly premium whether you sign up on Medicare.gov or through us, except with us you get a real person who shops the market and stays in your corner all year.
